Renewable electricity output
by country

Renewable sources as a share of electricity generation. The table keeps each country's reported year visible so stale and current observations are not treated as equivalent.

What it helps answer

Reading the signal

Shows the generation mix rather than installed capacity and helps track how much electricity is actually produced from renewable sources.

Before comparing

Important limits

Hydropower conditions can move the share year to year, and the measure covers electricity rather than total energy. A high share does not describe grid reliability.

Measurement

Source definition
